Secondary Phase (60 Days)

Our secondary program is a continuation of a treatment program. The staff at Restoration Home, Inc. understands that no two individuals advance at the same rate. Therefore, when individuals arrive at Restoration Home, they are observed with the intensity of a primary setting for a period of fourteen days. These individuals receive more intense individual and group therapy. After the 14 day period, individuals are required to find employment. However, the type of employment must be approved by Restoration Home staff. The client must return to Restoration Home property by a set time each evening and must continue to consistently attend AA /NA meetings.

Weekend passes are requested and must meet staff approval. Passes are only for Saturday mornings, 8:00 a.m. until Sunday, 3:45 p.m. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration and require staff approval.

This phase is designed to allow the individual opportunities to recognize and deal with problems without resorting to the use of chemicals. Secondary groups are designed to help the individual address these matters and gather the coping skills needed while under the oversight of the counseling staff.

The individual has successfully completed our program of treatment when it has been determined that the individual has reached a satisfactory level of stability in the rehabilitation process needed to maintain their recovery.

Transitional Phase

The Transitional Phase of recovery begins upon completion of the Secondary treatment program. The duration of the program is up to six (6) full months. Note: Once an individual completes the secondary treatment program, the client is no longer considered to be “in treatment”. During secondary treatment, they are required to find employment and encouraged to open a bank account.

Individuals must continue to work and maintain a bank account. Individuals are encouraged to improve themselves financially, but only if better employment had been procured. These individuals must pay a weekly housing fee, participate in aftercare and be present for required AA /NA meetings.

The Transitional Program is designed to give individuals the opportunity to apply recovery techniques learned during treatment and apply them to real-time life events. The individual remains in the group-structured environment with staff members and peers to provide support.
